Recently we caught up with the John Beasley Quartet performing at Joe’s Tavern down in Venice Beach. Accompanying John Beasley were a few of his friends including Bennie Maupin on sax, Brandino on bass, and Marvin ‘Smitty’ Smith on drums.
Joe Miller was gracious to allow us access to the crowded event, and the food was, of course – excellent. The event was promoted by Jonathon Mohr.
