This is a man of many talents. You might catch him in his tuxedo blowing jazz bass at one of the up-scale resorts in Waikiki, or hear him spinning discs on the radio and sharing his musicological knowledge with his audience, but more likely you’ll hear him playing jazz guitar at any number of clubs around town.

Gilbert’s mastery of the guitar is always evident. He makes it seem so easy and casual, but the music coming from his axe is some of the finest, most creative jazz you’ll ever hear. Be-bop or ballads, trio of big band, Gilbert’s guitar delivers!
